ISOLCAP 250

PRE-MIXED, LIGHTWEIGHT AND THERMAL INSULATING SUBFLOOR. 250 kg/m3

ISOLCAP 250 is the pre-mixed lightweight thermal insulating subfloor that combines good insulation (λD 0.065 W/mK) with a density of just 250 kg/m³. It levels floors and covers pipes and services while adding very little load to the structure.

It is made with hydraulic binders and EPS beads coated with E.I.A. additive, which keep the beads evenly distributed in the mix and make it easy to pump. It does not settle, does not shrink and does not crack, and it is also suitable as a base for waterproofing membranes on roofs.

It needs only 6-8 L of water per bag, so after 28 days the residual moisture is below 2%: a key advantage in timber-frame buildings. It is mixed with a drill and whisk, a cement mixer or a mixer, and pumped to the floor with POLITERM® MACHINE, ISOLCAP MACHINE, a properly fitted plastering machine or a truck mixer and concrete pump.

Reaction to fire A2-s1,d0. With 5 cm of ISOLCAP 250 under a 5 cm screed it contributes to impact sound reduction (ΔLw 14 dB).
