KRONOS
PRE-MIXED, MEDIUM/FAST DRYING SCREED
KRONOS is Edilteco's pre-mixed sand-cement screed for high-performance indoor and outdoor floors. It replaces site-batched screed with a consistent product, with controlled shrinkage and medium-fast drying that shortens waiting times before laying the floor covering.
Its constant grading curve and cement content prevent volume loss and drying shrinkage. It reaches high strength (C25-F5 to EN 13813) and is suitable over underfloor heating panels, on any slab with or without insulation, and over ISOLCAP and POLITERM® lightweight subfloors.
It is mixed to an earth-damp consistency in a cement mixer, a continuous mixer or by hand (about 2.0-2.4 L of water per bag). It is walkable after 14 hours and, up to 4 cm thick, can be covered with ceramic after 48 hours, natural stone after 72 hours and wood after 7 days.
NOTE
- Specific weight of the powder about 1,570 kg/m3; grain size 0-4 mm.
- Compressive strength C25 (> 25 N/mm2); flexural strength F5 (> 5 N/mm2) – EN 13813.
- Reaction to fire A1fl; thermal conductivity λ 1.35 W/mK (tabulated, EN 10456).
- Mixing water 7-8% (2.0-2.4 L per 30 kg bag); pot life 45 minutes.
- Walkable after 14 hours; can be covered (≤ 4 cm, +23 °C, RH 50%): ceramic 48 h, natural stone 72 h, wood 7 days.
- Yield 17 kg/m2 per cm of thickness.
- Minimum thickness: 3 cm bonded, 4 cm floating.
- 30 kg bag; pallet of 48 bags (1,440 kg).
