ECAP® WOOL
PREFINISHED ROCK WOOL PANEL, FOR THERMAL INSULATION SYSTEMS
ECAP® WOOL is the pre-finished rock wool board for external insulation where fire safety matters: it is non-combustible (Euroclass A1) and meets the fire-reaction requirements of fire brigade guidelines for façade insulation.
Rock wool is also highly breathable (μ 1) and improves the sound insulation of the wall, with a thermal conductivity of λD 0.036 W/mK. It arrives on site with the fibreglass mesh and the first coat of smoothing mortar already applied in the factory, plus punched holes for the anchors: fewer operations, shorter times and consistent quality. The system is completed with ECAP® ADP and the ECAP® finishes.
NOTE
- Board 600 × 1200 mm (0.72 m2) with straight edges; pre-finished with about 3 mm of cement smoothing mortar and alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh 160 g/m2 with overlaps; punched holes for anchors.
- Rock wool: λD 0.036 W/mK; Euroclass A1; μ 1; specific heat 1030 J/kgK.
- Compressive stress at 10% ≥ 20 kPa; tensile strength perpendicular to faces ≥ 10 kPa.
- Available in several thicknesses; thermal resistance according to thickness (see technical data sheet).
