GECO ANTISALT

MULTI-COMPONENT LIQUID, SOLVENT-BASED, INHIBITOR OF SALT EFFLORESCENCE

GECO ANTISALT is a colourless, solvent-based salt efflorescence inhibitor for masonry affected by rising damp. It penetrates a few millimetres into the wall and stops the salts that migrate towards the surface and crystallise, which would otherwise ruin plasters and paints.

It creates a neutral zone without changing the breathability or the mechanical strength of the substrate, and its slightly acidic composition eliminates the bacterial flora that attacks damp walls, preventing mould. It is the first step of the GECO dehumidifying system, before the scratch coat and the plaster.

NOTE

Colourless acid solution; density approx. 0.80 kg/L (at 20 °C); flammable.
Consumption: 150-250 g/m² per coat; 300-500 g/m² for the complete treatment (normally 2 crossed coats).
Apply undiluted by brush or low-pressure airless spray.
Following layers (scratch coat, plaster): not earlier than 4 h and not later than 36 h after application.
Substrates with very high sulphate content: follow with a pre-mixed anti-sulphate levelling scratch coat.
4 kg cans; pallet of 30 cans; use within 12 months.
