SOUND-ABSORBING PLASTER FOR REVERBERATION CONTROL IN INDOOR SPACES

SOTTOVOCE is Edilteco's first lightweight sound-absorbing plaster, the result of more than six years of research and development. Sprayed on interior walls and ceilings, it reduces reverberation so that people can talk and listen without raising their voice – in schools, canteens, conference halls, places of worship, restaurants and theatres.

Hydraulic binders and lightweight components give a continuous, seamless surface in white, grey, anthracite grey or black, suitable for exposed finishes. Laboratory tested at 35 mm, it reaches αw 0.65, and it is classified A2-s1,d0 for fire safety.

Only water is added on site: the mix is pumped and sprayed with a properly equipped plastering machine, on plasterboard, concrete, brick and steel, in new buildings and renovations. From 13 mm thickness.

Sound absorption at 35 mm: αw 0.65 (UNI EN ISO 11654); αp 0.09 / 0.35 / 0.84 / 1.00 / 0.91 / 0.98 at 125-4000 Hz.
Dry density 200 kg/m³; thermal conductivity 0.058 W/mK (UNI EN 12667).
Compressive strength 1.2 N/mm²; flexural strength 0.1 MPa; water absorption 0.1 kg/(m²·min⁰·⁵); μ 9 (EN 998-1).
Reaction to fire A2-s1,d0 (UNI EN 13501-1).
Thickness from 13 mm (single coat); above 14 mm: first coat approx. 1 cm, then coats of max 2.5-3 cm after 4-24 h.
Mixing water 5.0-6.0 L per bag; plastering machine type PFT G4 or similar, 14 mm nozzle; primer EDILKRONOS UNIVERSAL.
Consumption approx. 2.0 kg/m² per cm; application +5 / +35 °C.
47 L bags; pallet of 52 bags. Colours: white, grey, anthracite grey, black.
