PROTHERM LIGHT®

PREMIXED, LIGHTWEIGHT, AND THERMALLY INSULATING PLASTER FOR FIRE PROTECTION

PROTHERM LIGHT® is the lightweight, thermally insulating pre-mixed plaster used to increase the fire resistance of structural elements – steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete, masonry and composite steel-concrete slabs – in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, new or existing, indoors and outdoors.

Made with EPS beads, hydraulic binders and special additives, it is non-combustible (class A1), lightweight (about 300 kg/m3), breathable and water-repellent, with very good resistance to weathering. It has been tested to EN 13381 and has a European Technical Assessment ETA 18-1111: the classification reports are used to determine the coating thickness needed for the required fire resistance class.

It is sprayed with a plastering machine (PFT G4, G5 type), in a single coat up to 20 mm or in several coats. Consumption is about 3 kg/m2 per cm; surface drying in 24 hours. Available in white and grey.
