COUPLED ACOUSTIC PANEL FOR WALL ACOUSTIC INSULATION

DBRED ZERODB GIPS is a coupled acoustic panel: an SBR rubber layer bonded to a 15 mm type A plasterboard. Rubber adds mass and damping, plasterboard gives a ready-to-finish surface – in one board and one installation step.

It is the quick way to soundproof an existing wall without demolition: a free-standing lining with ZERODB GIPS 150-10 on a 12 cm hollow-brick wall improves insulation by 18 dB (Rw 63 dB) in 85 mm. In new dry walls with double frame it reaches Rw 75 dB; as a suspended ceiling it improves impact sound by 18 dB.

ZERODB GIPS 150-5: 5 mm rubber + 15 mm plasterboard = 20 mm, 15.6 kg/m²; 28 panels per pallet.
ZERODB GIPS 150-10: 10 mm rubber + 15 mm plasterboard = 25 mm, 19.3 kg/m²; 23 panels per pallet.
Panel 120 × 200 cm (2.4 m²); reaction to fire B-s1,d0.
Lining on 12 cm hollow brick: free-standing 150-10 Rw 63 dB, ΔRw 18 dB (85 mm); free-standing 150-5 Rw 61 dB, ΔRw 15 dB (50 mm); semi-bonded 150-10 Rw 55 dB, ΔRw 9 dB (40 mm); semi-bonded 150-5 Rw 52 dB, ΔRw 6 dB; glued 150-10 Rw 53 dB, ΔRw 7 dB (25 mm).
Dry walls: single frame Rw 55 dB; with 1 plain board + 1 ZERODB Rw 58 dB; double frame Rw 75 dB.
Suspended ceiling: impact sound improvement ΔL 18 dB.
