SMARTBLOCK® B.40.300

ULTRA-LIGHT BLOCK FOR MASONRY

SMARTBLOCK® B.40.300 is a solid ultra-light block (300 kg/m³) made of cement and POLITERM® BLU / BLU FEIN virgin EPS beads coated with the E.I.A. additive. It weighs only 12 kg, is cut with a simple saw and is laid with MALTA BLOCK 600 thermal mortar: walls go up quickly, with little waste and no thermal bridges at the joints.

At 40 cm thick it builds single-layer insulating infill walls, with no additional insulation layer: the plastered wall reaches U 0.189 W/m²K, a phase shift of 17.9 h and a calculated sound insulation of Rw 50.1 dB. Reaction to fire A2-s1,d0, CE marked to EN 771-3.

Plastered wall (15 mm plaster per side): U 0.189 W/m²K; R 5.291 m²K/W; periodic transmittance Yie 0.015 W/m²K; phase shift 17.9 h; attenuation factor 0.083.
Calculated sound insulation: Rw 50.1 dB.
Reaction to fire: Euroclass A2-s1,d0 (EN 13501-1); μ 12; specific heat 0.33 kcal/kgK.
Wall: 10 blocks/m²; mass 120 kg/m² (excluding plaster).
